Founded in 1979 as a small mechanic’s workshop with five employees, this Styrian family business developed into a steel production company with approximately 120 employees within the following seven years. In this time we successfully established ourselves as a partner company of renowned plant contractors for production and industrial assembly. Calculated investments, including in basic and further training of our employees in the welding sector, formed the basis of the “grand proof of aptitude” – the DIN 18 800 licence.
Supplementary to general plant and indoor construction, ESTET specialised in series production of various components for crane and special purpose machine construction in 1988, and thus became a long-standing partner of renowned companies such as Kone, Liebherr and Palfinger (“Supplier of the year 2000” in the category Delivery Reliability out of approximately 700 suppliers worldwide).
The licence as an ÖNORM M 7812 Grade 1 welding business in the year 1993 was followed by the ÖNORM EN 729-2 license in 1994 and the ISO-certification for the production and assembly of steel and plant constructions and industrial assemblies in 1995.
With the DIN 6700 licence in the year 2000, ESTET took the opportunity as a specialised technical welding company to also gain a foothold in railway technology, namely in locomotive and carriage construction.
Our quality and reliability is trusted not only by the ÖBB, but also by Siemens Transportation Systems (repeatedly evaluated as “Outstanding Supplier”) and others.
The SCC Certification in 2006 is the latest to date.
High quality components relevant to security and tailored steel constructions are manufactured on a total production floor area of approximately 10,000m². Across Austria, we (ESTET Stahlbau and ESTET Personnel) have approximately 400 employees.
In 1991 we were awarded the Styrian Crest by Governor Dr Josef Krainer.
